1. Is there any assurance DM can give me that my designs are not available to anyone else?
Your design will be confidential, in other words, unavailable to anyone other than yourself through Direct Motion. Note: Everyone seems somewhat concerned about having their design copied. In order to copy a design, all someone has to do is buy the desired head and copy it. Every time you make a sale, you are giving away the design. This of course is out of our hands.

2. Will Direct Motion sign confidentiality agreements regarding my design?
No, Direct Motion uses common sense business ethics in dealing with all of our customers. We do not compete with our customers in that we do not sell finished heads to end users.

3. How quickly can DM CNC port my heads?
The turnaround time on 50 heads in our Machine Shop is less than a week.

4. Can DM CNC port the intake manifolds?
Yes!

5. Can DM copy the shape of a piston into a chamber??
Most likely yes, we would have to take a look at the shape to know for sure.

6. Is any hand work required?
Our state of the art machining technology produces such a smooth finish that absolutely no hand work is necessary.

7. Why should I choose Direct Motion?
Direct Motion is your best, lowest cost, most reliable source of getting volume CNC head porting work done.

8. Can DM flow and dyno test my heads?
No, we do not flow or dyno test heads at Direct Motion.

9. How do I get started?
In order to get started, give us a call and send the ported head you wish for us to copy, along with 2 or 3 un ported ones. We will copy your port, cut it and send it back to you within 2 days. At that point you should flow test the head, and make any changes (if required). You then provide us with the full order of un ported heads, and we CNC machine the ports and chambers. Its as simple as that.

1. Why is CAD/CAM/CNC software by Direct Motion available for Free download?
Our trial software is available for free download to assist out potential customers in evaluating our products. We want our future customers to see get used to our software before they purchase a machine tool control package.

2. Why am I asked for my contact information before downloading the free software?
We ask that you provide your contact information when downloading our software for statistical purposes and also we like to keep a record of who takes advantage of the free download.

3. Can I run my machine tool with the Free Software?
The free trial will not run your machine tool. It lacks the device driver. Furthermore DM software only works with the DM control system.

4. Are the trial version and the purchased version of the software different?
The trial version differs from the purchased version in that it lacks the device driver which runs the machine, besides that, the two are exactly the same.

5. I am an existing customer running the DOS software, if I download the software will it run my machine tool since I already have the hardware?
If you are running the DOS system chances are that some of your hardware is outdated and not compatible with the Windows software. More information about upgrading to Windows is available.

6. I just downloaded the Free Software and I'm getting an error message: "Your version of DMServo.Vxd does not match your main program's version number, you will not be able to run the machine." What does this mean?
This error message simply means that you are running the trial version which lacks the device driver, it is not a bug in the software and will not affect its performance in any way.
